Shalia McPherson. Shalia has more
than 20 years experience in the banking and trust industries. She
was previously a trust systems manager and trust officer at Commerce
Bank of Kansas City, and an analyst in the bond investment division
at United Missouri Bank. Prior to co-founding Investors Independent
Trust Company in 1996, she was at SEI where she was the project
leader to convert and integrate large trust accounts into SEIs
systems. She was also a product manager for Securities Lending and
SEIs outsourced trust operations business. Shalias institutional
sales/service experience from large corporations is a good foundation
for the Trust Alliance product at Investors Independent Trust Company.
With a B.S. degree in mathematics from William Jewell College, Shalia
has demonstrated a high level of client concern, technical competence
and operational and sales knowledge. She is active in her local
church and has served on various community boards.

Herb McPherson.
Herb has more than 27 years of experience in the banking, trust
and financial services industries. He has held executive positions
with major financial institutions prior to forming Investors Independent
Trust Company in 1996. During his 18-year tenure at SEI, the largest
domestic provider of trust accounting and investment services, he
managed their western region operation and upon returning to their
headquarters, he founded the highly successful Asset Management
Division. Herb received his B.S. in Business Administration from
the University of Illinois and his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
He has also completed the Canon Trust School. Currently serving
as president of the Association of Independent Trust Companies,
a national trade group representing trust companies throughout the
country with more than $48 billion in assets under management, Herb
has a national reputation as a leader in the independent trust industry.
He is also active on the regional level by serving on the board
of the Association of Colorado Trust Companies and at the local
level as a director of the Boulder County Estate Planning Council,
currently serving as treasurer.
